Who we are and Why we're Here!

The ShipModelers-Forum was formed with a total of 10 members on 21 October 1998 to provide a forum where modelers of varied skill levels and mediums could ask questions, discuss techniques, etc.. in a civil environment. The web site went on-line a week after the list, around 28 October 1998.

Shipmodelers-Forum welcomes the new modeler as well as seasoned veterans. It is dedicated to supporting all aspects of the hobby of model shipbuilding.

In addition to other features, we are the home of the nets first and only web based ship modeling competition, the ShipModelers-Forum Annual Ship Model Competition. Each member is encouraged to participate in this friendly competition.

We have list subscribers from all over the world. Our members are the top modelers, historians, authors, manufacturers, naval architects, and vendors in the hobby.
