Scale Sails for your Model
Many modelers add sails, some rather have their models rigged without them. Many of you have your sails made by your partner or mother, there are those who are brave enough to make the sails themselves. Some modelers order sails pre-made by the kit manufacturer, however if your looking for a personal touch of hand made sails or if you simply want some information solving a sewing problem on the machine then I am the person to call. I often turn fabric stores up side down looking for the best and the finest fabric that will suit a particular set of sails. I can make them any size and any color that the modeler wants. All that is needed from the modeler is the size; scale, ship name and sail plan if available. A small deposit will cover the cost of materials. I do not charge high prices for my craftsmanship, most probably less than the pre-made ones that are available. Any money that I make is recycled back into my hobby, either towards a kit or some hand tools that I need. I would rather see someone proud to display my sails on their model rather than count the $$. I am here to help in any way I can. I charge $l5.00 per hour, actually I charge $30.00 per hour I pay fifteeen and the owner pays fifteen. I love to do model repair and have for the past 20 years, prior to that time my occupation was repairing antiques. My greatest
